Ladies and Gentlemen

The spring has blown and it is time to put the winter coat back in to wardrobe and to find that after quiet a long silence something has boiled in the pot while you were not looking at it. Hence here are the few we have carried on at Under My Bed:

We are glad to announce the release of 'Mixed Tapes Kept Under Bed' the first Under My Bed compilation. The compilation is going to be out for the middle of May and you'll have the chance to meet and listen to some the bands appearing in the collection the 18th of May in Arcore. 'A night in the Wonderland' @ARCI Bloob featuring THEfogINtheSHELL + Morose + Kech. My Dear Killer will be playing in Rotterdam the same day, supporting John Wayne Shot Me and Prague.

You can book your own copy of the compilation, coming with a home-made cardboard sleeve and a photo pastiche leaflet, mailing or dropping a not to info@undermybed.net or Under My Bed c/o Marco Guizzi, Via A. Costa n. 11, 20131 Milano, Italy. The Number of Copies available is definitely limited to the power of the shell's masteriser.

We are deeply proud of the releasing a demo/tape/rehearsing-recovered collection of Nasten'ka and the beautiful demo of Lorca:

Nasten'ka have been one of lakes' land finest and most original band at the end of the past century, have released three demo during their existence, Nasten'ka, Sedative Atmosphere and Voltage Loop; songs from the tapes, compilation offspring as well as takes from rehearsal, recorded with a very basic portable recorder has been rediscovered, remastered and now shown up in the beauty of low-fi print-out.

The most astonishing and surprising demo we've heard since a long while Lorca, Any old things will do, is 30 minutes of pure beauty, sad tunes and wondering. A collection of acoustic portraits in between the intimate songwriter tradition and modern approach to the folk sprit in very own personal elaboration. You'll fall in love with that. We'll bet.

My Dear Killer's Scent of the water, is now available, recorded during Easter in between a car crash and another, this will clean up a bit the old Walkman edition. This all would have been impossible without help, care and afford Lorenzo has given to the project as well as in the recordings of Clinical Shyness. Clinical shyness would be probably printed and available in its definitive long session in the summer and released by Turn Records in the U.S. Jeff we love you also!

Under My Bed Recordings is also glad to collaborate with The Popper Pop, a trio from Bologna, Italy, which haven't much to deal with Towers and 'Turtelen': "Texas Motel/Oasis Motel" is a surrogate of kind of indie-pop mixed with tasteful southern rock and spicy alt-country. Let's say the Giant Sand who stop for a night stop rest in Lou Barlow's house. The CD-(r) is in limited edition of 50 copies and is available in two different versions, with different cover sleeves and title, BUT with the same content. If you have loved Sergio Leone and Wimm Wenders's let's have a look at "Texas Hotel/Oasis Motel".

Is also available "Everyday Boredom", first mini-Cdr of 'Something Faded', pseudo band featuring components of The Fog in the Shell and ex hc-screamo combo Lasofferenza: electronic drums, distorted guitars, low tuned voices, lo-fi sketches, a bit of pop and some residue from Hard rock history. About 20 minutes of music wrapped in minimal artwork: the best antidote to bad sub-urbane frequencies.

And if you wish to be put an eye over the landscape horizon, it would be even possible to half-see next UMB releases. In the pot it is boiling an integrated collection of Belongs To Me, our man against the Bugo-ism, a mad songwriter in between Sid Barret and Luigi Tenco, able to exchange tapes with the first very home-made and Lo-Fi Will Oldham. A collection of the more weird tunes and mixing is ready to be released. Stay tuned Under My Bed.

And getting closer to the end of this blob we announce the first call for the second volume of the home released compilations 'Broken keyboards kept under my bed' which will be more oriented toward DIY electronic experiments... Roccu, Eniac, Virata a Spazzaneve, ONQ, Punck, The Colours Seen From Behind, Banda Minima, Supervault, Slate Pipe Banjo Draggers, have already joined the crew, would you like to jump in? Contact us as above. Personal contact is DEEPLY appreciated.

And, we fear, this is more or less everything from us.

Take care of yourselves...
