Since we have reached the middle of the summer we think there is no
actual need for a winter coat, on the other hand might be is going to
be a nice time for a message from under my bed. Laying under the bed
might be indeed refreshing, especially in a sunny Sunday afternoon. We
have actually stuff accumulated under the bed, which can be shown in a
while:
Mixed tapes... mixed tapes kept under my bed [umb001]. We are
very proud of our first song collection, and very grateful to anyone
who anyone who take part in that. The fist reactions from the press are
more than we would have ever expected and we feel a bit embarrassed
indeed, but very very glad as well. Mixed tapes kept under my bed
feature the contribution of : Belongs To Me, Bon Voyage, Comfort,
Milaus, Morose, My Dear Killer, My Shell, Nasten'ka, Onq, Smou,
Something Faded, The Colours Seen from behind, The Fog in The shell,
The Frozen Fracture, Thefinger and Ultra Violet Makes Me Sick...
But we also have a bunch of useless keybords which are of
course stored under our bed. Hence we haw we cannot announce our second
songs collection, 'Broken keyboards kept under my bed'? the band-list
of is now terminated and we have already started to collect the songs.
Hopefully It is going to released in the first months of the
forthcoming Autumn... finger crossed. But who else has problems with
his keyboard? A couple, Banda minima, Bosvelt, Cable corp, Eniac, Ent,
ONQ, Potato Sld, Punck, Roccu, Skoda, The Colours seen from
behind/Morose, The pop anarchist, Virata a spazzaneve.
But that's not all! What do we have?
Kech's 3rd offspring, 'a lovely place'. Something different
from what you could have listen up to now from Under my bed releases. A
lovelly place, is a record in the stream of the traditional briton
indie-pop scene. A sparkling mixing with a touch of Blur&Breeders.
Guess the title might refer to the Lakes' Land even though the band
originally from Milan. Some of you might have seen them playing in
Arcore together with ONQ and theFOGinTHEshell...
Speaking about shells.... under the bed we also found a split
released by THEfogINtheSHELL and My Dear Killer, called, 'My Love, A
Definition'. A waitress, My Dear Killer said. 4 songs recorded as a
test version during a brief May break back in the home town: The Right
To Ask, On the Track, The Football Player and The Archivist. A Slumber,
theFOGinTHEshell said. A collection of episodes from the bedroom
intimacy (Song for E., Song for M.), to the comfort of rehearsal with
some friends (Song for F.), to the cracking of a life performance of
Sorry. Should have we kept them all under my bed? Well...mhmhmh.....
migth be, might be....
But also here it is the previously announced collection of
songs from more than ten demos on CD-r and tapes released in the past
two years by Belongs to Me. We must admit we are always confused
listening to BtM composition. Someone said it is in between Luigi Tenco
and Sid Barret... well we don't if this spots the definition center the
target but can give a taste of what you would and would not expect to
find into this 10 songs long released.
Moreover we have PINS! Yes pins in two formats, either an empty
bed, that's when you finish sleeping in someone else's house, probably
for have drink too many pints the night before... but can try and
explore if there is anything interesting under his/her bed... and the
other one is someone sleeping on a bed. Which is what it is supposed to
be... if you can't find a better way to exploit your mattress
And one of our band 'My Dear Killer' is on the compilation #106
of bliss/aquamarine. BLISS 106: "BLISS VOLUME ONE HUNDRED AND SIX"
compilation tape with indie-pop from Hover, Jeffrey Simmons,
Motherplant, Halftime Oranges and Stars of Aviation, lo-fi pop from
Airline, My Dear Killer and B Sizzey, dream-pop from Sully, power-pop
from Contakt, and off-centre instrumental pop from Merchandise. And on
Bliss #107 the very worst of the color seen from behind
Something is also proceeding in the bedroom intimacy, which is
not what you can think about at a first glass... it is kind of strange
noise out of reels and murmurs from the bottom of the pillow.... those
are two multi-fractionate split projects... and a gigantic
production.... The first one, hasn't got a name, but has a definite shape...
It is a collaboration between UMB, Ouzel and Hoboken records... and
will feature the presence of ONQ, THEfogINtheSHELL and Wynona... more
news to be announced soon but works are definitely going on...
While closer to an embryonic state is 'I am vertical', a
tribute to sylvia plath. This would in principle involve bands playing
their own soundtrack to miss Plath poem, which gives the title to the
project and an instrumental bit entitled 'but I would rather be
horizontal'. This will eventually feature the presence of The Frozen
Fracture, in their brand new and shiny formation... but there will be
room for number of changes and revisions... it is not that difficult to
make us change our mind... on the other hand if interested keep in
touch... plenty of room in here at the moment.
But let's come to the gigantic one: this is the first
collection we found under our bed.. and this is a 5 CD split
collection! Isn't it great? Why are we that enthusiastic? We don't
know, but it is apparent that we are mental! Not that we are not happy
with that, but just be aware... we called it '5 pezzi facili' this is
in Italian, with the purpose of inducing even more confusion... which
help us catching innocents and lock them into our nest, so well, who
have we trap in the web? A Couple, Cary Quant, Jumpincherries, ONQ, The
Frozen Fracture, Lorca, The Colours seen from behind, The Fog In The
Shell...
And that can be quite enough rubbish to keep under one poor
bed, and you can't eventually have any space under that, which is
indeed terrible and indeed happening if some of you don't take some
stuff away... you see, we are not only mental, but also rather naive.
So we may end up with a naive greeting that you would
eventually deserve if able to get trough all this long bit; : {which of
the two punctuation ? chose the one you prefer}
take care and see you soon under our beds
