Dear and darlings
The day is getting dark and shorter, the breeze is freezing and it looks
actually like it is time to keep the winter coat out of the wardrobe. More
sadly of that all Christmas is coming as every bloody year: might be better
to stay in bed listening to cricket at the radio and why not, might be even
better hiding under the bed....
Since it is Cristmas, bleeding hell, and you will also need to do a stupid
present we softly advance a rather cheap option.... here at Under My Bed,
after months of delays, being only ALMOST ready, laying with a bold face, we
have right finished our second compilation, "Broken Keyboards Kept Under My
Bed".
It is composed of 18 brand new tracks (featuring: 'mbromo, Bandaminima,
Bosvelt, ENIAC, ENT, Morose, ONQ, Pirmin, Pölis, Potato SLD, Punck, Purusha,
Radioabelmouth, Roccu, Schlock, Skoda, TheFishKiller, V1tro), and we
consider it as a kind of catalogue option of what you can do with either a
cheap synth or PC keyboard into a little bed room. It's better little.
Inside there is any kind of rubbish, from the 'darkish' side of ONQ to the
vocoder lullaby of Pölis, from the ballad for voice and keyboards of
Bandaminima to the Nintendo-rock of Morose, from the 20p glitchin' lo-fi of
Radioabelmouth, to the "post-rock" of 'mbromo, from the neo-'80s-pop of
Skoda to the (meta) electronic terrorism of Punck. All is all a bit all a
bit of crap as usual in this house, but with a bit of synthetic taste this
time. More pieces of information are available at the dedicated web site
http://here.at/brokenkeyboards, where you can also listen to scratches of
the songs and read a few lines about each band. Have a look, dude!
It will get directly into your mailbox for 5 euro, all included.
If you want to have some material directly from our lovely hands, what you
need to do is getting to one of the few (and therefore fashionably poshy)
"UnderMyBed Nights", which are gonna be held in the next few weaks right out
of Milan! The location is 'Officina Urbana' in Desio. Unfortunately the
Morose and Bosvelt concert of the 14/12 has been cancelled. The next
appointments will be , MyDear Killer and The Fog in the Shell (21 December,
+ Morose?), Kech and Boys from Des Moines (11 January 2003). An enormous
THANK YOU to Vito and the other chaps at 'OfficinaUrbana'. By the way the
date are fashionably posh because no one else showed any interest... we will
turn unfashionably Marxist as soon as
possible... mind the gap between what you say and what you do
There are another couple of occasion to see the UnderMyBed bands live, on
Friday the 20 of December, MyDearKiller and TheFogInTheShell will play at CS
Capolinea (Faenza), and the 23 Jenuary, FogInTheShell, will play at CS
Leoncavallo (Milano), will support with, Mathians, TheDeathOfAnnaKarina.
Broaken keyboard is not the only piece of electronic in our ever-growing
catalogue: actually appeared from nowhere, is the first issue Fong. A
Collective of anonymous non-musicians, with their first "Manifesto" CD their
trying to teach us why, according to them, the music does not exist... about
40 minutes shared in 22 tracks of clearly "non-musical" composition,
dedicated to all the ChupaVerga orphans... is it madness or are they
playing us for fools?... you decide!.
And now you'll also know that we are compilations addicted. Actually after
one and two here we are for the volume three, back to the traditions:' more
tapes kept under my bed', we are working, in the silence of our bedrooms.
Possibly under the bed...
For alla who had lost very limited edition [20] of the last double CD of
TheFogInTheShell, Beyond the absolute and the nothing, now it is possible to
have a compact edition in one CD coming with a new layout. In home-made
paper. HE MADE THE PAPER! Yes. Under his bed. Of course! Is only 10 copy of
catalogues! Hurry up...
Getting close to a conclusion is the tri-split 'I am vertical' a Tribute to
Sylvia Plath. Featuring The Frozen Fracture, Morose and Buiomega. And
voices are around that the first Split of the collection "5 pezzi facili" is
almost ready... more news to come soon...
We probably have bored you enough.. thank you if you've come 'till this bit
of the page
And (taken from an Ian Scanlon* brilliant T-shirt) Fuck the xmas, let's
fuck!
Take care
Stefano & Marco
