Dear All
We have more or less brilliantly survived to Christmas, New year’s eve and the arrival of the eastern kings. Possibly this is also due to the good aid of the usual and over-abused winter coat. Guess it is still not the right time to put it back on the wardrobe. Anyway, looking for forgotten thick wool jumper we had the chance to reconsider some of our plans which are rearranged as following:
[I Am Vertical]
The Sylvia Plath tribute split E.P. I Am Vertical, is now completed. It will feature the contribution, in alphanumeric order, of Buio Omega, Morose and The Frozen Fracture, which will provide a soundtrack to ‘I am vertical’ and their own impression of the second verse ‘I’d rather be horizontal’. The band had submitted the songs impressively on time but the postman decided we have to add our brand-mark delay to the publication breaking some master CDs in two (rather asymmetrical) halves. Spreading of head quarters over continental Europe and British Island has also contributed a bit to the delay, but that’s part of the fun. We apologise for all the inconvenient caused and also announce that the release day is actually now fixed for the 21th March 2003, the spring equinox.
[Belongs to Me, Alienix]
Here we go! Coming from nowhere is the new Belongs To Me, the one and only of our partners in crime which has maintained faith to the original Italian idiom, is ready. "Alienix" is his own new creature. This is a new page of what BTM has been experimenting in the past and we bet will keep on doing in the future. It will be a six track long surprise. "Alienix" is definitely the most structured BTM production, a hybrid of a homemade and an industrial product, with all the positive and negative side of the medal. You decide!
[Broken Keyboards Kept Under My Bed]
The second volume of the Under My Bed Recordings Compilation is completed and released. It contains 18 brand new tracks from bands such as: ONQ, M’brono, ENT, Banda minima, Vitro, Skoda, Polis, Radioabelmouth, Bosvelt, Potato LSD, Morose, Roccu, The Fishkiller, Schlock, Purusha, Pirmin, Eniac, Punck. Detailed information and samples frome ach track and author are available at the internet address http://here.at/brokenkeyboards or from http://www.undermybed.org . We are so happy with the result of our first two compilations that we have decided to start to collect the songs for the third one. Plans are to complete it for the end of the season and to release it for the forthcoming spring.
[Morose, La Mia Ragazza Mi Ha Lasciato]
Morose have recorded their new album ‘La mia ragazza mi ha lasciato’ which is going to be released as a collaboration amongst Ouzel, Cane Andaluso, Kimera and Under My Bed. Actually It was also supposed to be in the shops in December but due to a series of unavoidable inconvenient the day in which you will find it on the shelves of your favourite CD dealer is being delayed. We really hope it can be in your hand in the next few months. Finger Crossed. You can also read an interview to Morose at http://www.firndsoftheheroes.co.uk […em..em.. Stefano did it…]
[My Love: A Definition]
Two of hard-core under my bed underdog My Dear Killer and The Fog In the Shell have realised their fist collaboration, in the usual split form, entitled My Love, A Definition. Now coming with a brand new graphic. Looks a bit better indeed! Sounds dramatically the same, too.
[Fong]
The FONG collective have released their first work: manifesto. They try to explain why, according to them Music does not exist. Check it out and let us know if you agree with them or not and why…
[The Frozen Fracture]
We have heard voices that ‘The Frozen Fracture’ project was over. That is pretty far from truth and reality. The Frozen Fracture after the change in the line up, which now includes Stefano, also in My Dear Killer and Lorenzo, formerly in Nasten’ka and many others, has released a track called ‘Echo Envelope Modulation’ on the first compilation volume ‘Mixed tapes kept under my bed’, will take part to the tribute split ‘I am vertical’, in a brand new line-up featuring the collaboration of Mr Gavin Baker (currently in Billie Mahonei, Jet Johnson, Meets Guitar, Gliders, forgot anything??) and the coupled split series ‘5 Pezzi Facili’. Moreover they are working since a long time to their fifth release ‘The Coherent Motion’. They do NOT look dead, do they?
[My Dear Killer, Miscellaneous]
My Dear Killer’s Clinical shyness is converting from a one week recoding session plan to a monstrous two year long puzzle session mosaic. Due to the invaluable help of ONQ and TheFOGinTHEshell, which had agree to take part in the adventure some of the tracks has been newly recorded (again, yes.mhmhm…) and all will have brand new been mix. The released is delay to a date which still have to be defined. Still with the greatly appreciated help of Turn Records in the United States.
In between one session and another they have also recorded a couple of sample songs for the next work ‘The Magnet Storm’. We have a limited number [10] of spare copies available, keep in contact if interested.
Well that can be pretty enough. We, as usual, recommend to take a look at our web site where it is possible to find a lot of items from our CD-r back-catalogue and the various CD and 7” which we have in distribution, http://www.undermybed.org.
Take care you all
Contact is appreciated
Marco and Stefano
